Manuel G. Teixeira

Manuel Teixeira, age 83, of Beacon Falls, beloved husband of Conceicao N. "Connie" Teixeira, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 3rd, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 20, 1942, in Canhas, Madeira Islands, Portugal, he was the son of the late Francisco and Maria Teixeira. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Maria and Augustino Teixeira.

Manuel worked for many years for the City of Bridgeport Department of Public Works until his retirement. He was a proud and hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did.

He enjoyed spending time with friends at the Vasco da Gama Portuguese Club, sharing stories and laughter from his homeland. Above all, Manuel treasured time with his family - especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. The unconditional love he gave and the cherished memories he created will forever live in their hearts. He also loved traveling with his wife and visiting family in Venezuela and Madeira, where they shared many wonderful moments together.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Manuel will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, Connie, he is survived by his beloved sons, German Teixeira and his wife Patricia, and Roberto Teixeira and his wife Carla; his cherished grandchildren, Rebecca Brandien and her husband Eric of Prospect, Justin Teixeira of Beacon Falls, and Matthew and Alexander Teixeira of Naugatuck; as well as several sister & brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 6, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Miller Macari Funeral Home 260 Bank Street, Seymour CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday November 7, 2025 at  10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church 2071 Baldwin Street Waterbury, CT . Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck.
