Manuela Rodriguez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schnauss North East Florida Funeral Home and Cremation Services from Jan. 9 to Jan. 15, 2026.
Manuela Angelita Rodriguez Hernandez , 66, was born on March 26, 1959, in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, educator, and woman of faith whose life was defined by service, compassion, and love.

She earned a Master's degree in Education and dedicated her life to teaching. One of her most meaningful roles was teaching in a batey, where she made a lasting impact on children and families through education, guidance, and care. Teaching was not just her profession it was her calling.

A woman of deep faith, she attended church every Sunday, carrying her beliefs into her daily life. Throughout her life, she consistently helped people in need, offering kindness, support, and generosity without hesitation.

She also embraced life's joys. She was a true foodie, loved enjoying good meals, and took pride in caring for herself especially enjoying getting her nails done and pampering herself, always believing in feeling good both inside and out.

She shared a profound and unbreakable bond with her daughter, whom she lovingly called "my lion," a name that reflected the fierce love, protection, and devotion between them.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edgardo Rivera her children, Ana Rivera, Edgardo Miguel Rivera, and Angel Luis Pena her stepchildren, Richard Rivera and Sheila Rivera and her cherished grandchildren, Reyna Alcantara, Diana Romero, and Edgardo Miguel Rivera Jr.

She was the heart of her family, a light in her community, and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the students she taught, and the love she gave so freely.
