I have been wearing Marc's Kia bracelet since February 2003. I carried his memory with me and believe his spirit and strength brought me home from OIF. I have never taken it off 14 years and believe that he brings me good luck. "Always Rember" Dam right.

Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds, his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. ”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,100 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and want you know that everyone here at Project Compassion does and will always CARE.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Kenna

It is difficult to know what to say since I want to express my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Spc Anderson. Please know that your loved one is not forgotten. I wish everyone impacted by this tragic loss strength and peace. I hope that Spc Anderson knew that there are people in America who respect his great courage in serving as a member of the US military. Although I did not know him, I know that he must have been a very special person to be willing to do something that most Americans will never have to experience and for that we can never say thank you enough.
Thank you Spc Anderson!

Marc, We miss you so much, Bailee and I. I feel so priviledged to have been loved by you and to be one of the last people to be able to see you before you left. I will forever be thankful that I was able to see you, touch you and most importantly talk to you before you left. The fact that I got to say goodbye has meant the world to me. It wasn't supposed to have been forever..and I am sooo sad even to this day that it was. Thank you so much for your sacrifice to this country and to my ability to live in it in freedom. To your family, you have my sincerest condolences...Marc was an amazing man and his presence in this world is sorely missed.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised LE RON A. WILSON (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

Marc,
Throughout your life you have touched so many lives to include my own. I remember that day I saw you in the back of the truck with guys screaming “I’ll come see you later, you better be home”.
I run threw those events over and over again because I never got to see you then. And then I thought, "hey I’ll see him tomorrow", But there was no tomorrow. You were now at war and I never showed you how much I would miss you or get even a good bye. But what you don’t know is that you will always be with me for the rest of my life and I will never let them forget. I m so sorry for what has happened, but one smart man told me…”I love what I do, so If I die doing what I love, I’ll be happy” A tale I will take to heart forever! I love you Marc and will always remember the great times! You will never be forgotten in my heart! My promise to you..! I love you with all my heart and no that I will see you soon!

I want to say first of all how proud of this young man and I'm so very sorry for his families loss. I want the family to know that I am very proud of each and every person who fights for our rights here and gives us the freedom to live like we live. I have a brother right now serving in Kwait and I worry each and every day for him and everyone over there. I want to say that you have a very special place in my heart and thank you very much.
