Marcella was the daughter of the late Emmet and Mildred (Pennell) Denny. She was born with her twin sister on Feb. 11, 1921 in Bellaire. Marcella entered into marriage with Maurice V. Bohlk on Oct. 13, 1940.
Marcella settled in Traverse City and lived here the majority of her life. She was an excellent seamstress who also showcased her talent knitting and crocheting.
Marcella is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Maurice Bohlk of Traverse City; son, James (and his wife Barbara) Bohlk of Flemingsburg, Ky.; daughter, Helen (Mrs. Richard) Oatley of Traverse City; sister, Marceitta Westcott of Bellaire; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Richard Denny.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Jeremy Williams will officiate. Interment will be held at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
