Marcella Polansky Franzetti

1947 - 2023

Marcella Polansky Franzetti was born on January 10, 1947 to John A. and Marcella Marek Polansky. She left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 26, 2023. A public visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00pm followed by a rosary beginning at 7:00 in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat followed by interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Marcella was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell, Texas. She was incredibly talented. She played the clarinet while in school in Caldwell and loved playing the organ at St. Mary's Catholic Church during her teen years. Marcella graduated Caldwell High in 1965 and left home to work.
Marcella worked at Monsanto Chemical for a number of years while attending Alvin Jr. College. After moving back home to Burleson County, she worked for the Burleson County Clerk, Burleson County Extension Office and Burleson County Title.
Marcella met the love of her life, Gary Franzetti, after a friend set them up on a blind date. They were married on June 20, 1987 in the chapel at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Marcella and Gary lived a happy life on the family land in Frenstat, and enjoyed country living. In addition to her plants and flowers, Marcella loved reading and especially traveling. Cruises were her favorite, but she also traveled to Europe and South America.
Marcella was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years, serving as organist, singing in the choir, and in church organizations such as, KJZT, Altar Society and Finance Council, serving as officer at various times. She also volunteered at St. Joseph Manor in Caldwell and served on the Governance Board for many years.
Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marcella Polansky; sister Elizabeth Macha, her brother John Polansky, nephews Stephen Macha and Ben Rippy as well as her niece Allison Polansky and step-daughter Carrie Franzetti.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gary Franzetti of Frenstat, her brother James Polansky and his wife Joan of Houston, Texas; brother Thomas Polansky of Frenstat; sisters; Margaret Polansky and Bernadette Polansky of Frenstat, as well as her step-sons, Greg Franzetti and his wife Amy, Craig Franzetti; step grandchildren, Giovanna, Astralina and Jeffrey Franzetti and Mia Schulte, Natalie and her husband Elijah Joseph, and many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
Serving as Pallbearers are Greg Franzetti, Craig Franzetti, Thomas Polansky II, Tommy Torres, John Polansky and Mark Macha. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Koym, Harry Stenvall, Eddie Macha, Kerry Robinson and David Polansky.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to everyone who has reached out and extended their love during this most difficult time.
