Sutton resident Marcella "Marcie" (Lohmeier) Skinner, 94, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Sutton Community Home in Sutton, NE.
A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sutton, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sutton with Father Lee Jirovsky officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Sutton, NE. In honoring her wish to be cremated, there will not be a visitation or viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the donor's choice.
Marcella "Marcie" Skinner was born in Sutton, NE, to Sam and Marie (Farry) Lohmeier. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1949 and shortly after moved to California.
Marcie spent most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she met and married Kenneth Skinner on September 12, 1970. A gifted beautician, Marcie owned and operated her own hair salon, where she was known for her talent, dedication, and warm personality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers, and three sisters. She is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family thanks the Sutton Community Home for their compassionate care and the many friends who supported Marcie in her later years.
Marcie's love for family, golf, cards, laughter, friendships, and her Catholic faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Please keep her in your prayers.
