Marcello L. Dispensa

Marcello L. Dispensa, age 71 of Effort, PA passed away with his loving family at his side on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his home.
Marcello was the loving husband of Nicolina (Iacopelli) Dispensa. They would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on February 8, 2026.
He was born in Palermo, Sicily on November 12, 1954, son of the late Michele and Emilia (Lecausi) Dispensa.
Marcello had worked as a pharmaceutical buyer for Mayflower Drugs in Brooklyn, NY for 20 years. He had also worked as a carpenter for the New York public library for 15 years.
Marcello was a man whose presence could light up a room - warm, generous and endlessly loving. He was a devoted husband, cherished brother and proud father and grandfather.
To his beloved wife Nicolina, Marcello was not only a partner but a best friend - a steady source of laughter, comfort and joy.
He found wonder in the world around him and joy in every day. He loved restoring classic cars and would love to take to the open road and attend classic car shows. He also loved to take deep sea fishing trips with his friends.
We have been blessed with the presence of Marcello in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife: Nicolina (Iacopelli) Dispensa of Effort, PA, his children: Marc Dispensa and spouse Kimberly of Cranford, NJ and Christopher Dispensa and spouse Susan of Commack, NY.
He was the loving grandfather to: Aubrey, Anthony, Josephine and Vincenzo Dispensa who lovingly call him Pe Pop.
Marcello is also survived by a brother: John Dispensa of Effort, PA and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister--in-law: Lina Dispensa.
Funeral services will be held 4:30 pm, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA.
Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Interment is private and at the convenience of the family.
