Nació el 17 de enero de 1954 en Guerrero, México, hijo de Félix y Antonia Santamaría.
Marcelo asistió a la escuela en México, donde su enfoque estaba en la granja familiar. En su adolescencia, conoció y se casó con su esposa, Bertha Santamaría. Después del nacimiento de Reyes, Marcelo y Bertha se mudaron a los Estados Unidos en busca de mejores oportunidades para sus hijos.
Sus pasatiempos e intereses incluían reuniones familiares, jardinería, jugar Tarasca y escuchar música con sus nietos. Dedicó gran parte de su tiempo y energía cantando karaoke con su familia.
Al Sr. Santamaría le sobreviven su esposa, Bertha Santamaría; un hijo y cinco hijas; Reyes, Rosa, Ana, Marcela, Teresa y Francisca, junto con 15 nietos; y dos bisnietos. También deja dos hermanos y hermanas, Benito, Félix, Salomé y Socorro Santamaría.
Marcelo Santamaria, 68, passed away on September 24, 2022, with his family by his side in Auburndale, Florida.
The memorial service will be held on October 3, 2022, at Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Winter Haven, Florida.
He was born on January 17, 1954, in Guerrero, Mexico, the son of Felix and Antonia Santamaria.
Marcelo attended school in Mexico, where his focus was on the family farm. In his teens, he met and married his wife, Bertha Santamaria. After Reyes' birth, Marcelo and Bertha moved to the United States in search of better opportunities for their children.
His hobbies and interests included family gatherings, gardening, playing Tarasca, and listening to music with her grandchildren. He devoted much of his time and energy to singing karaoke with his family.
Mr. Santamaría is survived by his wife, Bertha Santamaría; one son and five daughters; Reyes, Rosa, Ana, Marcela, Teresa, and Francisca, along with 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers and sisters, Benito, Felix, Salome, and Socorro Santamaria.
