Marcene Burrow

Services for Marcene Burrow will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Hilliard Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Bryan Easley will officiate her services. She will be laid to rest at Marvin Chapel Cemetery, Van Zandt County.
Emma Marcene Sirpless Burrow was born September 5, 1937 in Ralls, Texas. She had been a resident of Van for 25 years, formerly living in Terrell. She was a talented musician an music teacher; she enjoyed playing the guitar and piano. She also enjoyed fishing in her free time.
Mrs. Burrow passed away at the age of 88 on November 29, 2025 in Grand Saline. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burrow; brothers, Gerald Sirpless and Otis Sirpless; parents, James & Thelma Sirpless; grandson, Christopher Hopkins; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Alsing.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Travis Thornburgh of Lindale; three grandchildren and their spouses, Paul & Shanna Hopkins of Kaufman, Cathy Alsing of Ben Wheeler, and Amanda & Blane Pearson of Nacogdoches; eleven great-grandchildren, Tracy, Julie, Sonny, Shayla, Austin, Paige, Savannah, Destiny, Payton, Rain, and Courtney; and five great-great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Blair, Mia, Trinity, and Eli; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tracy Hopkins, Sonny Adams, Austin Slenk, and Payton Pearson will serve as pallbearers.
