Marcia C Christie, a cherished matriarch and beacon of warmth in her community, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in
Titusville, Florida. Born on November 6, 1940, in
Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Marcia's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and dedication, woven with the threads of family and passion for her crafts.
Marcia's journey began as the beloved daughter of Ernest and Ottilia (Schuster) Brown. Her early years in Glen Ellyn were filled with the laughter and companionship of her sister, Miriam McGee. Marcia's heart found its match when she married Gerard Edward Christie, Jr., and their union was blessed with 63 years of shared dreams and unwavering support until Gerard's passing in 2024.
The legacy of Marcia's love and nurturing spirit lives on through her devoted daughter, Debbie (Paul) Brabson, and her son, Gerard (Andrea) Christie III. She was a guiding star for her grandchildren, John Brabson and Alexis (Alejandro) Christie-Miyar, and she cherished every moment with her great-grandchildren, Rafaella and Hugo Miyar. Marcia's family was the centerpiece of her life, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, resilience, and the joy of simple pleasures.
A creative soul, Marcia found solace and expression in sewing, quilting, crocheting, and baking. Her hands were rarely still, as she crafted countless treasures that became the heirlooms and comfort of her family and friends. Marcia's quilts were more than just blankets; they were hugs woven from her heart, each stitch a testament to her love and care.
Marcia's kitchen was the heart of her home, where the aroma of freshly baked goods was a constant invitation to gather and share stories. Her recipes were cherished, passed down with the same care and precision that she used to create them. Each pie, cake, and loaf of bread was a celebration of the sweetness of life.
