Our beloved grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marcia Denise (Wilson) Dady sadly passed on June 29th, 2025. Marcia grew up in Bellmore, NY and Punxsutawney PA before moving with her parents (Cleve A Wilson and Dolores R Wilson) to Nashville in 1968.
She was a registered nurse who had a special gift for serving others. She was well loved and respected in her role as a PeriOperative Business Manager in surgery at HCA Centennial Medical Center where she dedicated 44 years of service.
Marcia was a loving mother to her son, Bruce A. Dady, who was the light of her life and who preceded her in death. She was loving and committed “Nana” to Taylor and Bryce Dady. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren by always being there for dance classes, competitions and football games. She enjoyed painting, was an expert at crochet and knitting and was an avid reader in her spare time. Marcia brought joy and fun to so many close friends when camping out by the lake or houseboating with her nursing colleagues. She loved being on the water and had a family tradition of going to the beach each spring. She was a “second” Mom to many of her son Bruce’s friends and was always there to give wisdom and counsel. She was a truly selfless person who gave her love unconditionally.
Marcia knew all the words to any country music song and loved to dance and attend live music events. She enjoyed listening to The Eagles, Garth Brooks, the Allman Brothers Band, Vince Gill and so many other country music stars which she followed.
In addition to her parents, Marcia is preceded in death by her son, Bruce A. Dady; her brother, Cleve A. Wilson; and her ex-husband and friend, Anthony “Tony” Dady.
Marcia is survived by her grandchildren, Taylor Dady and Bryce Dady; her siblings, Guy (Rhessa) Wilson, Kyla E. Wilson; sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson-OGara (Patrick); her beloved nieces and nephews: Jason (Deena) Wilson, Mara (Ryan) Campbell, Natalie (Jacob) Graner, Savannah (Alex) Snyder, Alex Wilson, Carey Wilson, Lauren Demain; her special friends, Monty Pitts, Debbie Reed, Len Carter, Tonya Irwin, Kevin Johnson, Paul Julian, Bradley Powell, Chami Thieme; her beloved cousins, Gail Gazdag & Jerry Plummer; and so many friends and co-workers.
Marcia had a life well lived and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
