Marcie Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 11, 2025.
Marcie Louise Mavity Brown, age 57, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, surrounded by those she loved most.

Honoring her personal wishes, a private service remembering Mrs. Marcie's life will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Ripley Funeral Home. The family deeply appreciates your prayers, love, and support during this tender time.

Born on August 8, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, Mrs. Marcie was the daughter of Mrs. Stella Ambrose and the late Lester Mavity. She grew up in the Memphis area and received her education from Byhalia High School. On September 26, 1996, she married her beloved husband, Mr. Mike Brown, with whom she shared a devoted partnership built on love, loyalty, and steadfast commitment. Together, they raised their family with pride and purpose, pouring their lives into the people they loved most.

A Christian woman with a gentle soul, Mrs. Marcie found joy in life's simplest comforts. She loved reading, keeping up with her favorite television shows, and spending quiet days at home with her cherished dogs. Home was her sanctuary, and caring for her family was her greatest calling. Her straightforward nature, honest heart, and steady presence left an impression on all who knew her.

Though Mrs. Marcie preferred the quiet rhythms of home, her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those blessed to share life with her-remembered for her unwavering love, her strength, and the simple, genuine way she cared for others.

Those left to cherish her life included her husband, Mike Brown, her mother, Mrs. Stella, her daughter, Patty Childers (Jake), her sons, Michael Brown, Anthony Brown (Naomi), and Christan Brown (Jacklyn), sister, Karen McCrite (Curtis), brothers, Ken Ambrose, Mark Mavity, and Michael Young, and four grandchildren, Jettie Grace and Ollie Rose Childers, and Colton and Ella Brown, along with her canine companions, Daisy and Mr. Max.

She is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Jerry Ambrose, her daughter, Michelle Brown, her son, Jimmy Houston Brown, and her granddaughter, Savannah Grace Brown.
