Marcie Ferrell-Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Emmanuel Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Trail Creek on Feb. 18, 2025.
Marcie Ann Walker Ferrell-Williams, known affectionately as Marcie by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, entered eternal rest February 14, 2025, at home with her beloved family by her side. She was born July 3, 1967, in Michigan City, Indiana, Marcie was the cherished second daughter of the late Mack and Ruby Lee Walker Sr.
Marcie was a woman of immense vibrancy, remembered for her beautiful smile and radiant spirit, which were as evident in her youth as they were throughout her life. She graduated from Rogers High School with a reputation as an outstanding basketball player and a person who always aimed for excellence. Marcie's tenacity was matched only by her charmingly tall personality, and she never hesitated to express her pride in being her daddy's favorite.
Following her high school graduation, Marcie embarked on a valued career in law enforcement, beginning her journey at Westville Corrections Facility in Indiana. Her path led her to Atlanta, Georgia, where she served in various law enforcement agencies before finding her long-standing home at Hall County Sheriff's Office in 2007. It was during this esteemed career that Marcie met her beloved husband, Cadillac Luis Angel Williams. Their love story spanned over 15 years, woven with threads of deep commitment and shared moments.
Marcie's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Cadillac Williams, and her two sons from a previous union with her good friend Mark Ferrell-Marcus Ferrell Sr., and Mathew Ferrell of Georgia. Marcie's nurturing nature extended to her beloved niece, Sannchaz Blackmon, whom she raised as her own daughter in Georgia. She also leaves behind three step-children, Dominique Williams, Jessica Williams, and Tatiana Williams, and her cherished grandchildren, Marcus Ferrell Jr. (mother, Ariel Brown) and Amyla Ferrell both of Georgia. Marcie was a pillar to her four brothers-Mack Walker Jr. of Indiana, Darrell Walker of Georgia, Elder Joey (Deminia) Walker Sr., and Dionysus Mack Walker Mitchell both of Indiana-as well as her eldest nephew and nieces, DeAndre Coleman of Indiana and Roylin Ebony Simpson of Texas. Her life was enriched by her involvement in the upbringing of Ashley Walker and Paris Lenoir and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition, she is survived by three special friends that were dear to her heart, Terrelyn Singleton, Deana Miller and Kerri Murphy all of Georgia
Her siblings, who predeceased her-Marty Johnson, Carol Johnson, Barbara Walker, Darlene Walker-Moorehead, along with her nephew Brandon Walker, and grandmother Luella Dent-have undoubtedly welcomed Marcie into the realm of eternal peace.
Marcie's educational journey was marked by her extraordinary presence and determination, traits that she carried into her professional life. She will be remembered for her ability to inspire those around her, her knack for offering the soundest of advice, and her unique capability to transform a bad day into a good one. Marcie always reminded her loved ones to strive for self-sufficiency, to be the lender, not the borrower-a philosophy that spoke volumes about her own independent and generous nature.
Her interests were as diverse as her character; from working in her yard to engaging in arts and crafts projects, Marcie was a wellspring of creativity. She relished adventures with family, graciously opened her home for gatherings, and will be remembered for her witty jokes and enormous heart. Marcie Ann Ferrell-Williams was a fighter until the very end, her loving, wise, and optimistic outlook on life will forever be etched in the memories of those who loved her.
In closing her final chapter, we celebrate Marcie's life as one lived to the fullest, graced with laughter, love, and an indomitable spirit. Although we mourn her loss, we take solace in knowing that the impact of her love and wisdom will continue to resonate within the lives of her family and friends. Marcie Ann Walker Ferrell-Williams was indeed a beacon of light, and her luminous presence will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
