Honorable Marcus "Mark" F. Clark, former judge of the Warren County Court, age 89, of Oregonia, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025.

Mark graduated from Alexandria High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art and History from Wilmington College, graduating in 1958. He furthered his education by attending Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he received a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1963. Later that same year, he began his private law practice in Lebanon. He was elected County Court Judge in 1970 and elected Juvenile and Probate Judge of Warren County in 1990, serving an additional 11 years. After serving a total of 30 years as a county judge, he continued his career in private practice, officially retiring in 2013 after 50 years of combined law practice.

Mark was actively involved in several local and state-wide professional judge and bar associations. In addition, he served on numerous civic and advisory boards. Mark was especially concerned about local youth who needed detention or security holds. He played a key role in replacing the historic but unsafe Mary Haven building with the modern Warren County Juvenile Detention Center. The new facility significantly improved living conditions and provided a safer, more supportive environment for juveniles who need quality behavioral and healthcare services.

Adventurous, generous, helpful, caring, community and family-minded, Mark was supportive and empathetic to those in need while also being witty and spontaneous in a fun way. He was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Mark was one of the original Bengals ticket holders when the organization was first established and held tickets for 40 years. Mark also enjoyed playing golf regularly with friends. He had a passion for travel, with highlights including multiple destinations in Europe, Africa, and Central and South America. Mark loved snow skiing and traveled with his family and friends to ski destinations, usually preferring to try a new place each time. Artistic and multi-talented, Mark enjoyed painting and art projects. He even used his love of art to support himself financially through law school by teaching at a local high school.

Among many things, Mark will be remembered for his love of his family, his support for the community and its residents, and his empathy and generosity toward those in need. Through the missions program at his church, Countryside Church of the Nazarene, he supported girls' education in Honduras. He was especially proud when one of the girls he supported through the program was able to attend and complete law school.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus W. and Ellen Clark, and one brother, John Clark. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda; four children, Stefanie (Doug) Shinkle, Mark (Rosena) Clark, Holly (Rodney) Robbins, and KC (Zac) Wyse; ten grandchildren, Aly (Carter) Schulte, Daniel (Devin) Shinkle, Kady Clark, Sam (Leah) Clark, Brynn Lofton, Bryce Lofton, Dominic, Cora, Beatrice, and Andrew Wyse; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dave (Jenny) Clark.

The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 PM on Saturday, November 22, at the Countryside Church of the Nazarene, 1436 Deerfield Road, Lebanon, OH 45036. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 PM on Saturday at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the Countryside Church of the Nazarene Building Project. Condolences may be made to the family at https://www.stubbsconner.com.
