Marcus Nelms Obituary

Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Crossview Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dusty Stoey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary of the church.
Mr. Nelms was born February 20, 1968, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Arnold & Vera Anderson Nelms. He was a machinist with Elixir Industries. Mr. Nelms loved to fish, work in the yards, spend time with his family, and travel, especially to the mountains. Mr. Nelms had an infectious laugh and was a giving person, he will be remembered as a "gentle giant".
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Wright Nelms; children: Alex Nelms & Daisy, Gregory Keith Nelms and Noni Grace Nelms; five grandchildren; brothers & sisters-in-law: Lydia Leyse, Kimberley & Micah Collins, Le'Anne & Sean Williamson, Tiffany & Jesse Lucas and Tyler Wright; special relatives: Bobbie Jenkins, Jeannie Paro, Eddie & Marsha Jenkins, David & Kathleen Paro and Kay & Richard Scott. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
