Ms. McManus,
It is with great reverence that I write. And while I believe in our Creator, your son was one of G-d that I fear left us too soon. I was a teammate and locker mate of your son in college. We had some great times in college, on and off the field. He was a peaceful warrior. One should never mistake his easygoing demeanor with the driven athlete and man. We laughed ALOT together. We laughed at one another together. We bonded. We rarely stopped laughing. But when it was time to be serious, your son was a leader and an inspiration who never backed down to a challenge. May his memory be eternal and may G-d bless his everlasting soul.

The Davidson community is heartbroken and shocked that he is gone far too soon. We were blessed to have known him and shared friendship, laughter and such great memories with him. We are grateful he made it home but so saddened. Our condolences to all of you.

Marcus was a much-loved friend and colleague who made a significant impact in the short time he was at our school. He was highly respected by our students and parents.

He was always one who could share a great story and a laugh and could always give you a great perspective on life. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

One of life´s true gentleman and a real fighter to the end in the face of much adversity.

We extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends
