Marcy Ernest Rodriguez

Marcy Ernest Rodriguez, Sr., age 87, passed away to be with the Lord on November 26th, 2024, in Visalia, CA. He was born on October 16th, 1937 in Sultanna, CA. Marcy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his daughter Janet Rodriguez (husband Mike). Marcy is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Diane Rodriguez, and his three grandchildren, Josh Rodriguez (wife Dulce), Amanda Crain (husband Ryan), and Jacob Rodriguez. His great grandchildren, Zachary, Jason, Jaxton, Haydee, Ashlee, and Zaria. Also his siblings Adeline Carrillo and Margaret Chivera.
Marcy is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary Rodriguez whom they were married for 65 years and his son Marcy Rodriguez Jr. He is also preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, and his father Jose Maria Rodriguez, and his siblings Joe Rodriguez, Beatrice Garcia and Charlotte Mena-Pipes.
Marcy was a handsome quiet soul. He enjoyed telling stories, always gave great advice, and loved reminiscing about his past adventures. Everyone who knew him loved him.
Marcy’s educational journey included attending Carrie Barnet Elementary in Visalia CA and Visalia High School. He furthered his education at COS where he received his AA in Bachelors of Science. His dream was to be a pharmacist. After college he worked for Kaweah Delta Hospital as a nurse aide. Later on, he started working at UPS for 32 years where he retired at the age of 62.
Outside of work, Marcy had a variety of hobbies that brought him fulfillment. He loved to play golf, go hunting, motorcycle riding, playing the guitar, eating out at restaurants and traveling. It also brought him great joy to sing with family at family gatherings. He loved being with family and friends and always enjoyed company. He also found solace visiting his beach house, creating cherished memories with his loved ones.
To honor Marcy’s life, a celebration of life will be held at Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel at 1700 West Caldwell Ave, Visalia CA on Monday, January 6th at 12:00 pm. Reception to be followed immediately after at Sequoia Baptist Church at 3435 S Linwood St. Visalia, CA.

Marcy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm heart, kind soul and words of wisdom will be forever remembered. We find great peace in knowing that he is reunited with his beloved wife, son, mother and father, and other siblings in Heaven.
