Mardell Alff

Mardell Marie (Nelsen) Alff, age 83, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on June 29, 2025, at Colonial Springs in Buffalo, Missouri. Born on April 5, 1942, in Anita, Iowa. Mardell lived a life devoted to her family. Those who knew Mardell remember her as loving and caring to all--she always saw the good in people.
Mardell was the daughter of Edwin and Marilyn (Biggs) Nelsen and grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. Her father would play the ddle while the family would dance. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ray Alff the father of their four children; her siblings Darrell Nelsen, Patricia (Nelsen) Cheney, Mavis Nelsen, Claudette (Nelsen) Titus, and baby brother Jon Jensen; and her great-granddaughter Olivia Alff.
Her memory will be cherished by those who survive her: brothers Noel Nelsen and wife Kriss, Mark Nelsen and wife Sue; sons Ron Alff and wife Samantha, Tom Alff and Tammy, Dennis Alff and wife Connie; daughter Tracy (Alff) Evers and husband Chris; grandchildren Joe Alff, Curtis Alff and husband Jonathan, Tommy Alff and Rebecca, Kyle Alff and wife Lisa, Darrick Alff, Makayla Alff, Stephanie Alff, Amanda (Edwards) Schepers and husband Adam, Travis Edwards, Nathan and Kirah Evers, Caitlynn (Evers) Bozner and husband Ethan; and great-grandchildren Mia Alff, Trey Alff, Jayden Alff, Ariel Alff, Bella Alff, Abigail Richard, Rachel Richard, Nathanael Richard, Jonathan Richard, Rebekah Richard, Ethan Richard, Naomi Richard, Joseph Richard, Elijah Richard, Ruth Richard, Makenzie Alff, Wyatt Alff, Vanessa Hudson, Serenity Dickerson, Ryan Schepers, Nolan Schepers, Klara (Jones) Edwards, Brynlee Edwards, Brantley Edwards, Avery (Croucher) Evers, Waylon Evers, Oaklynn Bozner, and Ellie Bozner.
Above all else, Mardell treasured time spent with her family. Her love for her children was unwavering; she took immense pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether gathered for holidays or everyday moments together at home or outdoors among owers and birdsong-these were the times that brought her heart its greatest joy.
On June 29th Heaven gained a new angel to watch over each one of us. May Mardell's memory bring comfort to all who loved her and continue to inspire lives lled with compassion and grace. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, 1:00 to 4:00 at Strafford Senior Center 201 West Bumgarner Blvd. Strafford, MO 65757
