Margaret E. Anderson, 95, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Community Hospital in Anderson, surrounded by her children.
She was born on May 3, 1930, in Florida Station, Indiana to John William and Dorothy Adelia (McCord) Cunningham. She was a graduate of Lapel High School and went on to earn her master's degree from Ball State in education. She retired from Lapel Elementary School after many years in teaching.
Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed being involved in running the family farm, having been raised as a city girl. She enjoyed reading, swimming, camping and traveling.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Carol (Rodney) Dillman and Cathy (Mark "Duke") Hensley; a son, James W. (Regina Nash) Anderson; grandchildren- Shane Hensley, Jessica Sands, Eric Hensley, Ryan Wickersham, Robert Anderson, Megan Merrill, Katie Anderson, Kiefer Nash, Cameron Nash, Rodney S. Dillman, Ashley Dillman, Jessica Dillman and Barrett Dillman; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and a lifelong friend and surviving classmate, Iris Parker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Moore Anderson; her infant son, Robert William Anderson; her parents; a grandson, Jason Hensley; and a great-grandson, Tony VanVoorhies.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
