Margaret M. Arpin

Margaret M. Arpin, 93, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret M. Minton was born in Alpena on September 9, 1931, to the late Martin and Mary (Timmreck) Minton. She retired from Alpena Public Schools, was a member of the All Saints of Alpena, its rosary society group #8. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, later in life enjoyed a simple ride in the country, but most important was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Melinda Mills; 6 grandchildren, Ginger (Derek) McLaren, Cody (Abbie) McDonald, Staci Smith, Marty (Allison) Mills, Mike Mills, Aaron Mills; 10 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Arpin; longtime companion, Bill Albright; 3 sons, Marty Mills, Thomas Arpin Jr., Victor "Bucky" Mills; siblings, infant William, Michael Minton, Martin Minton Jr., Leonard Minton, John Minton, Mary Ellery, Myrtle Donakowski, Blanche Parkis, Ellen Trapp and Annabelle Dziuba.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 2 -8 p.m. with the rosary at 3 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Emmanuel Finbarr officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
