Margaret Jean Russell Baggett, 58, of Bruce, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
Margaret was born on October 16, 1965, in Shaw, to Otis Russell and Fannie Vance Russell. She worked as a nurse at Cleveland Nursing and Rehab for many years prior to moving to Bruce and working at Bruce Nursing Home. Margaret married Billy Ray Baggett, and they started a beautiful family. She was a member of Breath of Life Church of God. Margaret adored her family and liked to spend her time camping, fishing, or spending time with her family. She also loved her job and took great pride in what she did.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Maybell Marie Russell.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Baggett, of Bruce; four daughters, Vicky Lantrip, of Cleveland, Anna Kline, of Bruce, Leila Rogers (Bennie), of Bruce, and Ashley Haynes (Robert), of Bruce; four sisters, Ann Baggett (Frank), of Belzoni, Joyce Easley (Ted), of Bruce, Carolyn Murphy, of Merigold, and Barbara Steward (Paul), of Pontotoc, and ten grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Burton Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A second visitation will be held Monday, April 15, 2024, from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Robbins will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
