Margaret Elaine Chester

Margaret Elaine Chester Bennett, beloved Mom and Mee-Maw, age 73, of Snyder, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and devotion.

A funeral service will be held at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Rocky Alexander of Ira First Church of God officiating. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Elaine was born on December 21, 1951, in Rotan, Texas, to Bert and Mabel Ann (Adams) Chester. She attended Snyder High School, dedicated many years to Western Texas College, and owned Grumpy’s Cafe, where she delighted many with her homemade meals. Later in life, she found love once again with Frank James Bennett, with whom she shared 24 joyful years until his passing in 2020.

She leaves behind her loving children: Marci Smith and CJ Guerrero of San Angelo, Leigh Ann and Jeremy Porter of Snyder, and Corey Chester of Snyder. She also is survived by her sister, Rhonda Zettle of Somerville, and her beloved grandchildren—Joseph Garza, Jonthon Torres, Jaiden Martinez, Jaite Martinez, Anthony Zamarripa, Leia Deere, and Brandon Chester—and her fourteen great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.

Elaine was preceded in death by her siblings, Terry George and Ginger Chester, and her great-granddaughter, Jozzlyn Garza. She had a deep passion for caring for others, always welcoming family, and church members into her home, providing delicious home-cooked meals, and supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting and school events.

Thank you for all you taught us. We know you are now pain free and are having the most glorious reunion with Frank in Heaven.

A visitation will be held from 6-7 PM, Monday, September 29, 2025, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
