Wooster - Margaret A. "Margie" Coburn, age 80, of Wooster, formerly of Orrville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Danbury Senior Living in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Margie was born on August 8, 1945, in Kidron, Ohio, to the late Ira and Lillian (Bixler) Sommer and graduated from Dalton High School in 1963. She married James E. Coburn on June 14, 1968, in Kidron. James preceded her in death on July 24, 2025.
She owned and operated a beauty salon for 26 years and later worked as an office administrator for Edward Jones in Orrville for 20 years, retiring in 2000.
Margie was a member of Orrville Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling throughout most of the United States, spending 18 winters at their home in Florida, caring for her beloved cats, and cherishing as much time as possible with her family.
Surviving are her grandson, Blake Burkhart (fiancée, Hannah Berg) of Orrville; two brothers, John Sommer of Akron and James (Diane) Sommer of Lakeland, FL; sister-in-law, Janet Sommer of Orrville; brother-in-law, Bill (Barb) Coburn of Strasburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Margie was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Burkhart, her brother, Robert Sommer; and sister-in-law, Nellie Sommer.
A private family memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating.
Burial of ashes will take place at Kidron Mennonite Cemetery in Kidron.
