Margaret E. Conti (nee Walker), age 79, of Griffith, IN, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023.
Margaret is survived by her 6 children: Jeff (Dana) Conti, Joseph (Stephanie) Conti, Chris Conti, Rebecca (Ken) Lavenue, David Conti and Michael Conti; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Eugene; mother Margaret; and sisters: Lil and Mary.
Margaret was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Griffith in 1972. She was first and foremost a mom and homemaker, she was very involved in her children's lives from scouts and many sports activities to helping them fulfill their dreams and ambitions. Margaret was a professional salesperson and held many positions in sales over the years. She was an artist, crafter, gardener, and quilter among her hobbies. Almost everyone who knew her has something she made for them.
The family will have a private ceremony with a celebration of life to be held for Margaret in the spring. The family appreciates the kind words and offers of support they have received.
