Margaret Grime Cook, age 94 of Murfreesboro, TN formerly of Lafayette, TN passed away Tuesday morning, September 2, 2025 at the Villages of Murfreesboro. Margaret is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.
Funeral Services for Margaret Grime Cook, will be conducted Friday afternoon, September 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm from the Lafayette First Baptist Church in Lafayette with Pastor Ron Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette and again on Friday morning from the Lafayette First Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
Family requests memorials be made to the Lafayette First Baptist Church, the Macon Arts Council or Macon County Retired Teachers. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, Horace Eugene Cook, Son, Horace Hall Cook, Parents, Reverend Joseph Hall & Alliene Bass Grime, Sisters, Sarah Grime Settle, Lois Grime Fitch, Rebecca Grime Jennings, Betty Ruth Grime Nokes, Brother, Dr. Harvey Hall Grime, Son-in-law, Steve Haley.
Survivors include: daughters: Elaine Cook Haley of Springfield, Melanie (Allen) Howell of Murfreesboro, and daughter-in-law, Kim Bunch Cook of Morristown; grandchildren: Timothy (Laura) Haley, Chattanooga; Sarah Haley (fiancé, Dr. Garrison Johnston), Nashville; Dr. Kaitlen Howell (Dr. Nathan Lowhorn), Oakland, CA; Tyler (Taylor) James, Mebane, NC; Maggie (Nathan) Clabough, Cleveland, TN; Amanda Cook, Knoxville; and great grandsons, Arthur James Haley and Ryan Hall Clabough.
