Margaret Ann Collier Gifford
May 18, 1936 – November 14, 2025
Eupora, Mississippi
Margaret Ann Collier Gifford, 89, of Eupora, Mississippi, went to be with her Savior on November 14, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1936, in Pelahatchie, Mississippi, to Sidney and Vesta Collier.
Ann was a devoted follower of Christ and lived her life with unwavering faith, kindness, and a servant's heart. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she was known for her compassionate spirit and steadfast love for her family. Ann was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Eupora, where she faithfully served the Lord and her church community.
Ann married Dr. William Burton "Bill" Gifford on December 22, 1957, and together they shared almost 38 years of marriage before his passing in 1995. Ann's life was marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the many friends she made along the way.
In her free time, Ann enjoyed studying the Bible, gardening, cooking, and volunteering. She was an avid bridge player and especially cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Ann leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, and gentle strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Raggio (Bobby) of Hernando, MS; her son, Steve Gifford (Amy) of Daphne, AL; her brother, Sidney Collier (Casey) of Pelahatchie, MS; and her grandchildren, Beth Ann Greisinger (Nick), Meredith Gifford, Christy Raggio, Billy Gifford, and Ben Gifford. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William B. Gifford; her parents; and three sisters, Nell Mashburn, Melba Collier, and Marjorie Dell Beasley.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Wesley Meadows Retirement Community and Baptist Hospice Golden Triangle for their loving care. Those wishing to honor her memory may consider a donation to First Baptist Church Eupora or the American Family Association in Tupelo, MS.
