Margaret Ellen (Tyson) Glass, 91, of McCalla, Alabama passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones at her bedside on November 24, 2025. Margaret was a 2-time cancer survivor and in August 2025 the cancer returned. Margaret was determined to beat it once again however was unable to continue the fight.

Born June 12, 1934 in Holt, Alabama, she was the youngest of 4 children born to Col. Harry D. Tyson and Elizabeth Morgan.

Margaret was raised in Bessemer, AL primarily by her sister Jeanne and Bill Randle. She spent her early life in Bessemer until she married and relocated to Midfield, AL. Margaret lovingly raised her children and was a devoted stay at home mother.

Once she raised her children, she enrolled at Bessemer Technical College. After completing the program, she was ready for employment. Margaret began her career at Princeton Hospital as a unit secretary. She worked for approximately the next 20 years. While she made many friends and enjoyed her work, she ultimately retired at age 72. She was first and foremost a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

It is true to Margaret's character that she continued to correspond by letter & cards with lifelong friends and extended family. She loved them all deeply.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Karen G. Tamburello (Marshal) and Beth Zissette (Jeff).
