Margaret E. (Goddard) Dollen, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH.
Born in Dover, NH on August 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Cora (Gagnon) Goddard and was a graduate of Somersworth High School, Class of 1949. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald and her sister, Elaine.
Margaret is survived by her beloved children: Jim Henderson, Nancy Beecy, Dianne Bird and Ed Dollen and their spouses. She leaves behind grandchildren Alyssa, Amanda, Shayna, Liam, Jimmy, Bobby, several step grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy.
She was thankful to be blessed with many wonderful friends during her lifetime. Margaret grew up in Somersworth, NH and raised her children in Amesbury, MA, before retiring to Seabrook, NH where she loved to cook and write letters to her many acquaintances. She had a big heart which endeared her to everyone she met.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to One Sky Community Services, 755 Banfield Road, Suite 3, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Keep Margaret’s legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
An hour of visitation will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA immediately followed by services at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Margaret will be laid to eternal rest beside her parents, William and Cora, at a private Graveside Service at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Somersworth, NH on a beautiful Spring day this coming May.
