Margaret H. "Margie" Gohmann

Margaret "Margie" H. Gohmann, 91, entered eternal life on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to Henry and Marie Holtman, and was the youngest of eight siblings, all of whom, along with her husband, David Gohmann, preceded her in death.
Margie lived a full and joyful life. She loved bringing people together and was always the one to organize the party. She loved time with her family-especially during what she often called "the best time of the day."
She enjoyed the outdoors and was never afraid to have a little fun-whether it was skinny-dipping in her backyard pool, camping at Dale Hollow Lake, or riding her bike through the Parklands. She loved playing games with her grandkids and had no problem winning, but always made sure everyone felt included and well-fed.
After retirement, she and David spent years traveling the country in their motorhome. They were two peas in a pod, a true team-when they were on the road together, everything just felt right.
Margie is survived by her children: Constance Moynihan (Humphrey); Colette Graston; Matthew Gohmann (Jennifer). Grandchildren: Katherine Gray (Brian); Meghan Moynihan (Clifton Martin); Daniel Graston (Dannyel); Jade Gallo (Jonny); and Samuel Gohmann and Hannah Gohmann. Great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Mabel, Leon, August, Lucy, David, Kyden, Brynlee, Ellora, Luke, and Austin.
She is also preceded in death by her grandson David Moynihan and her son-in-law Earl Graston, whom she treasured.
Margie will be remembered for her energy, her sense of humor, and the way she made people feel welcome and cared for. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church (5505 Bardstown Road, 40291) at 9 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow at 10 a.m. You can stream the funeral on FaceBook (search St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Parish) or on YouTube (search St. Gabriel Fern Creek).
A graveside service will take place at Calvary cemetery (1600 Newburg Road, 40205) after mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Parklands of Floyds Fork or Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church.
