Dear Marshall I am so sorry to hear about Peggy, She was one of my favorite memories of my days of having so much fun with you and her. She showed me the secrets of firebugs and how to harvest rocks in your pastures. Those where great memories and distance was the only reason that kept us from not seeing more of the two of you. My memory of visiting you in the GP Tower in Atlanta and having ice tea at 8 AM was so Southern. Please know you both are in my prayers and thoughts and if you ever come North plese call. The Pendleton Roundup still goes on and we owe you a trip to it when you come out. Another great memory of Peggy and I in the Let Her Buck Room having a drink and watching all the two steppers, how we both wished we could do that. Your Friend always, Gary Maffei 503 963 9463

We have fond memories of Peggy during our student years at VPI in the early 60s. She and Marshall encouraged us to get married and go to graduate school, and we did both with the added boost of confidence they imparted that it would all work out. On the occasion of our subsequent visit with our two young sons to Marshall and Peggy's home in Portland in 1978, Peggy prepared the best "chicken divan" we can recall -- in fact, everything that night was homemade and tasted wonderful!

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Marshall and all the members of Peggy's family.

Peggy Hahn was a very lovely lady. We enjoyed our many visits with her at Georgia Pacific events over the years. We know she will be missed by many, especially her family to whom we send our most heartfelt sympathy.

Peggy was quite a lady. My sister Roxi and I met both Marshall and Peggy in Portland while my sister worked for GP. We played tennis on a regular basis with both Hahn's and had many wonderful dinners and get-togethers afterwards. My most fond memory was the Hahn's hosting a wonderful party for the Pendleton Round-up in Pendleton, Oregon. We rode over in style by train, hitched to the Union Pacific train and remained in Pendleton for 3 nights. Peggy and Marshall were great hosts to even include our folks and sister for a wonderful dinner on the train! Roxi and I just returned from Mexico, where we were talking about Peggy and Marshall. Please accept our sincere condolences and you will be in our prayers as you move into the holiday season.

My mother was the sweetest person I have ever met. I literally never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. I will miss her sorely.

Goodbye Mamum,

You always had a smile for me and took me in your family as a son, my own mother having passed on when I was a young adult. I only knew her 4 years longer than you and I will equally miss you.

Your love of flowers lightens my life every morning when I look out my windows and will continue to do so. I will think of you every time I gaze upon the beauty of your creations in your gardens and in seeing your light in them.

Thank you for your unconditional love and all those great sweaters. I will miss you,

Your son-in-law,

Doug
