Margaret E. Jacobs

WINSTED – JACOBS – Margaret E. Jacobs, 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 9, 2012. Born in Torrington on August 25, 1935; the daughter of the late George and Mary (Erwin) Ellis. Margaret grew up in Torrington and moved to Winsted in 1958. She worked for Northwest Community Bank for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by daughters, Laurie Jassen and husband Matthew of Winsted and Susan Moore and husband Robert of Winsted; son, Jeffrey Jacobs and wife Ulla of New Hartford; sisters, Martha Erwin of VT and Nellie Sieller of Chile; brother, James Sieller and wife Nancy of Torrington; grandchildren, Marci Fritch and husband Jared, Jordan Moore and wife Diana, Amanda Jasenski and husband Jeffrey, Emily Combes and husband Alex, Erik Jassen and fiancée Christina Boratko, Isabella Jacobs and Matthew Jacobs; great grandchildren, Madison, Marley and Lola Fritch, Alexia, Ava and Rocco Moore and Henry Combes; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David Ellis. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
