Ms. Margaret "Peggy" McLamb, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Peggy was born on August 1, 1945 in Maryland and made Johnston County her home 50 years ago.
Surviving family includes her children: Michele Kaveh, Susan Fowler and husband Eddie, Travis Mclamb; Grandchildren: Haley Fowler, Amir Kaveh, Olivia Fowler, and Averi Mclamb.

She loved making wreaths, flower arrangements, and big beautiful bows. She worked 7 days a week as a CNA II until she couldn't work anymore. She loved her clients and their families and would often spend extra time with them.
Special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Liberty Commons in Benson that took care of her this year. Also special thanks to Liberty Hospice of Smithfield.
To honor our mother and grandmother's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Ms. Peggy's memory in your own ways. She always said she wanted this song played after she left this earth, so give it a listen: "What the World Needs Now" (by Jackie DeShannon).
Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
