Margaret (Peg) Might 96 of Washington and formerly of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on Monday December 11, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Syracuse, New York on August 20, 1927, she was the daughter of William and Lillian Upson Hopkins.
Peg received her BA from the University of New York at Cortland. She was a former teacher in New York and had worked at the former Johnston the Florist in Charleroi. Peg was an active member of the former St. Jerome’s Church and Mary, Mother of the Church, and was a former past president of LAOH.
Peg is survived by her sons; George W. (Diane) Might of Beafort S.C. and Paul (Jean) Might of Cranberry Twp., 5 daughters; Elynn Light of Ferndale, WA, Adele (David) Barndollar of Miami, Joyce (Harold) Leininger of Oil City, Joan Might of Port St. Lucie, FL and Carol (Ben) Jones of Rostraver Twp., 11 grandchildren; Justin Might, Jordan and Caylee Otto, Eric and Kara Barndollar, Matthew and Kaitlyn Leininger, Rebecca, Morgan, Marcus, and Riley Might, and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband George S. Might, a son Thomas Might, 2 brothers William J. Hopkins and Robert Charles Hopkins, a sister Ann Brayman and her great-granddaughter Hallie Raye Leininger.
Visitation will be held on Sunday December 17, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday December 18, 2023 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church Charleroi. Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela.
Peg’s family would like to thank the Staff at Strabane Trails, Caring Mission,Vitas Hospice and the staff at Premier Washington Health Center. The family suggests that memorials be made to the food bank of your choice.
