Margaret Mincy Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 15, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Marie Mincy. She passed away peacefully at home with family on October 13, 2025. She was born February 8, 1938, in Plant City Florida to Louis and Dollie Mae Padgett.

Marie married the love of her life, Charles, on June 12,1954 and they enjoyed 69 beautiful years together. She passionately supported Charles and together they built a life full of joy and happiness. She was always the wind beneath his wings.

Marie found joy in the simple pleasures in life. She cherished her memories of traveling with Charles and their friends. She loved being outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature and feeding the fox, deer, and birds. But above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Her love for children was immense and her home was always open. She always enjoyed summertime at the river and being Nana to all the kids.

Marie was preceded in death by Charles, her parents, her sister Patsy Pitts, and her brother Warren Padgett.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Hurtado and Keith, grandson Taylor Lee and Marisa, great granddaughter Brooklyn Marie; her son Charles Mincy Jr and Annaliese, granddaughters Rainslee Knight and Jess, and Fallon Mincy. Her sisters Brenda Hockaday, Melva Sadler, and brother Larry Padgett as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and while we will miss her, we take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her Charles.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
