Margaret Morse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goldfinch Funeral Home - Beach Chapel - Murrells Inlet on Dec. 5, 2025.
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret "Peggy" Morse announces her passing on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025. Peggy died peacefully at the age of 82.

Born on November 21st, 1943, Peggy was a beloved resident of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she lived a life marked by unwavering faith, deep love for her family and friends, and the joyful companionship of her cherished dog, Ellie. After raising her children Peggy went and pursued her Nursing Degree and Career. She was the State Director of the Child Evangelic Fellowship and taught Good News Clubs and Sunday School through out her life. In 1993 Peggy and her husband Jim moved to Romania part time and started a girls home, "The House of Hope" which is still operational today. Those who knew Peggy will remember her kind heart, her steadfast devotion to the Lord, and the warmth she offered to everyone she met.

While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is now fully healed in the presence of the Lord Jesus and reunited with the love of her life, Jimmy. Her legacy of faith, love, and generosity will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Peggy is lovingly survived by her children:

Julie (Lynn) Horton, Beth (Jeff) Ferguson, Terri (Darien) Allen, Paul (Marcel) Morse, and Crystal (Jessie) McKnight.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Sean Banks, Drew Banks, Magen Beebe, Blake Ferguson, Hillary Horton, Abigail Horton-Terry, Madison Deese, Grant Morse, Cole Morse, Walker McKnight, Izzy McKnight, and Zachary Morse.

Peggy is also survived by her great-grandchildren McKenzie, Dani Lee, Carter, Salters, Ellaree, Brystol, Sylas, Kyser, Roman Dew, Brayden, Bryce, and Wyatt, Lynnlee, Beau, Hampton, Charleston-James each of whom brought her tremendous joy.

The family welcomes flowers and condolences at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina or to the family home:
