Margaret T. "Marge" Nelson, 88, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday May 5, 2016 at Brookdale Nursing Home, South Bend. She was born on August 30, 1927, in South Bend, to the late Frank and Mary (Nagy) Sulok and was a lifelong area resident. On May 3, 1952 she married Richard R. Nelson, who preceded her in death on April 26, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Nelson in 2001; three sisters, Julia Wuergler, Mary Vargo and Violet Bradway; and by four brothers, Andy, Joe, Victor and Charles Sulok. Marge is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Karaman of Niles, MI; a son, Karl (Mollie) Nelson of Granger; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Scott and Mark Nelson, Kyle and Connor Nelson and Jason, Ross and Elise Karaman; and by two sisters, Rose (Al) Zmyslo of South Bend and Ann Woofter of Roseland, IN. She was a parishioner of Little Flower Catholic Church, South Bend. Services and burial are being held privately with the immediate family. So sorry to learn of your mother's passing. It was enjoyable to see her outside, always a sunny greeting. We will all miss her. She was a positive influence on my brother and I when we were growing up here in the neighborhood. What a great lady, and I know you will miss her presence in the coming years. May your memories of past times carry you through those times.
