Margaret Rasbury Obituary
Margaret Kim Rasbury, age 70, passed away on January 20, 2026 at UC Health in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was born on December 6, 1955 in Nuremburg, Germany to Manning S (Pete) Rasbury, Katheryn F (Miller) Rasbury. Kim’s Father was a career Army officer, and upon retirement, they settled in Thornton Colorado. Kim went to Merritt Hutton High school in Thornton, Colorado. She went on to study Molecular, Cellular and Development Biology at the University of Colorado, graduating in 1977. She married David Randall Merrick at the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, Colorado on September 3, 1978.
Kim loved living in Colorado and being close to her children and grandchildren. However, she found her true happy place in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she loved collecting seashells with her grandson David. She was also an avid quilter and reader and loved to travel. She was dearly loved by her family and will be sorely missed, but we will forever be thankful we had her in our lives and will cherish memories of her in our hearts forever.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Kay Rasbury. She is survived by her husband Randy, her children Chelsea Lynn Merrick and Peter Eugene Micheal Merrick, her grandchildren David and Ryan Merrick Wilson. Kim loved animals, and Iieu of flowers, please donate to 4 Paws 4 Live Animal Rescue in Colorado.
