Margaret Eileen Ruttman was born to Charles Ansyl Oliver and Jenny Brumfield Oliver on February 28 1926 in
Crescent, Oklahoma. She passed away on Tuesday, November 07, 2023.
She grew up on a farm in Crescent that had been homesteaded by her grandfather who was a Civil War Veteran.
She graduated from Wesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1947, and worked at Mooreland Hospital and Norman Municipal Hospital in Oklahoma and, was a caring and compassionate nurse for 40 years.
On May 2, 1948 she married her loving husband Robert Ruttman of
Woodward, Oklahoma. They enjoyed camping in their RV with their children and grandchildren, playing cards and games with friends and family. She enjoyed reading and kept up with current events. They owned a commercial printing business in
Woodward, Oklahoma for 16 years before retiring to spend time with family and friends.
They spent 49 happy years together until his passing in 1997.
Margaret had loving parents who taught her how to love well. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very proud of them all. She loved her daughters-in-law and son-in-law like they were her own children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; daughter Sheryl Farlin; parents; brothers: Ansyl Oliver, Clark Oliver; and sisters: Frieda Barclay, Lois Reynolds and Ruth Ellis.
She is survived by her children: David and wife Janie of
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Stephen and wife Debbie of Greeley, Colorado, Robert and wife Jennifer of Mesa, Arizona, and Tim Ruttman of
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son-in-law Jerry Farlin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous grandchildren and great -grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2023, in the Garden of Serenity, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, in
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
