She attended McClatchy High School and graduated from Sacramento State University, where she met Charles Scarfe, who attended UCD. They got married in September of 1968 and were married for 55 years.
Charles and Peggy moved to the Marysville area to be teachers in the early 70s. Peg taught at Olivehurst Elementary for 30 years, teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. They owned a Berry Farm in Tudor and a Wedding Chapel in Marysville.
Peg is survived by her children, Matt, Ami, Jon, and Ben, and her grandchildren, Joey, Aiden, Westin, Kira, Orrin, Gianna, Zoey, and Luke.
Her celebration of life will be at 2:00 on Sunday, March 29th, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Rd., Yuba City, CA 95993.
