Margaret E. (Antilozi) Shemonski, 88, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, with her son Kenneth by her side, joining her beloved husband, Robert D., who preceded her in death in 2022. She was the daughter of Paul and Margaret Antilozi, born and raised in Bridgeport, PA. Margaret built her life around family, tradition, and love. In 2003, she moved to Worcester, PA, where she continued to surround herself with the people she cherished most.
Margaret was the devoted mother of Robert J. Shemonski and Kenneth P. Shemonski, and the cherished grandmother of Kathryn Shemonski (Dave Rupell), Morgan Pfanders (Ryan), and Jordan Shemonski. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Oliver, Carson, and Benjamin Rupell, and Margot Pfanders. In addition to her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Margaret is survived by her sister Elizabeth Sherkness, and her sisters-in-law Joan Palumbo and Lorraine Collins and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Suzanne Kerick.
Margaret treasured the years she spent babysitting her granddaughters—memories she often recalled with joy. She loved her time in Sea Isle, NJ where she found peace by the shore, and she rarely missed the opportunity to cheer at her granddaughters’ volleyball games. Margaret was a longtime member of St. Augustine’s Church in Bridgeport, PA and also a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bridgeport, PA and St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Collegeville, PA. She worked for many years at Dr. Kohn’s office in Bridgeport, PA. She was also known for the warmth she brought to her kitchen. An exceptional cook and baker. She was especially famous for her cheesecake, pierogies and golumpki which became a family favorite and a symbol of her generosity. She will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family, and the countless moments of love she created for those fortunate enough to know her. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory forever cherished.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Margaret’s life on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Limerick Garden of Memories Chapel, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA 19468.Viewing will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Bridgeport, PA.
