Margaret Ann (Stahler) Sherlock, "Peggy"" of Macungie, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born in Allentown, Pa. to the late Harold W. and Catherine E. (Beierschmitt) Stahler. She was predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 46 years, James F. Sherlock, in December of 2020.

Peggy was a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School, Johnstown, Pa., and received her Associates Degree from Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, Pa. Peggy moved back to the Lehigh Valley to take a position in quality control at Kraft Foods in Fogelsville, where she met her husband and love of her life, Jim. While at Kraft she was promoted to Executive Secretary to the Plant Manager. Thereafter, she held numerous positions including Real Estate Manager with Adams Outdoor Advertising, owner and operator of Maggie's Sweetheart Shoppe in the Lehigh Valley Mall, and helping countless people as a weight loss counselor for Kirsten Anderson Weight Loss Center, facilitator for Keystone Leadership Group, and as a smoking cessation counselor for Quit Smart. She was active in the Lehigh County Chamber of Commerce and held positions as a member of the Board of Directors and as President of the Executive Women's Council.

Peggy and her husband Jim made a life together for their young blended family at their home overlooking Leaser Lake, where they enjoyed time together canoeing, windsurfing, and ice skating on the lake, hiking, sled riding, family dinners, picnics and celebrating holidays. They spent many family vacations together at the shore in Ocean City, New Jersey, Disney World, and at her parent's home on Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana. In later years, Peggy enjoyed traveling with her husband to Florida and throughout the United States and Europe.

Peggy was very athletic and enjoyed playing tennis and golf, biking and participating regularly in yoga classes. She was a member of several book clubs, including her beloved "Book Babes" and active in social activities and clubs in her Community at Millbrook Chase where she had many dear friends.

When I was growing up, Peggy's grandmother, Amelia Stahler, lived aside of the house that I lived in. I remember Peggy visiting her grandmother. She was a very young girl and was very active. When her family moved, I didn't get to see her. Many years later I got to talk to her when my husband, Charlie, and I walked our dog past her beautiful castle-like house on Livingston Street in Allentown. She happened to be outside and when we talked, she told me that she was an Executive Secretary at Kraft Foods. I didn't get to see her after that, but I always liked Peggy.

From her obituary, she did many impressive things for others and the community. I can only imagine the good that she did for her family and must have been a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

I was very sad to hear about her passing. My husband and I want to express our deepest sympathy to her whole family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May you feel God's love and blessings now and in the future.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Sally (Best) Metroke
