Margaret K. "Peggy" Shute

Margaret "Peggy" K. Shute (nee Feltmate), age 98, passed peacefully Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home in Sewell, NJ surrounded by her family. Peggy spent her years working in the media department for the Glassboro School System. She enjoyed watching the news, collecting antiques, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids as well as baking her "world famous banana bread", and traveling throughout Canada visiting her family, especially in her hometown of Hazel Hill, Nova Scotia.
Margaret is survived by her children, Lois Carracino of Mullica Hill, NJ, and Tom Shute of Sewell, NJ; her grandchildren, Sandi McCafferty and spouse Jim, Kim Marino and spouse Sebastian, and Tommy Shute and spouse Melissa; great grandchildren, Domenic, Anthony, Julia, Hailey, and Josh. Also by sister, Gladys Woodburn, and sister-in-law, Floss Shute. She was predeceased by her loving husband Louis H. Shute, and nine of her siblings.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 9:00am to 11:00am, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, with burial to follow at Woodbury Memorial Park.
