Margaret Helen Burrow Spainhour, of Clemmons, passed away Friday, July 18, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Helen was born June 22, 1936, in Stokes County, to Solomon Burrow and Gertie Elizabeth Plowman Burrow. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. In her free time, she loved doing crafts including decoupage and creating floral arrangements. Helen was also an excellent cook, singer, and pianist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Charles Spainhour; one sister, Dora Frye Simmons (Paul); and one brother, Raymond Frye (Ella).
Left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Josephine Asbelle, and Mary Beeker; six nephews, Gregory Wayne Asbelle (Amy), Brian Kane Asbelle, Ronnie Benson, Allen Benson, Larry Benson, and Stephen Lee Frye (Dina); and two nieces, Pamela Frye Blanc (James), and Beverly Frye Carter (Joe).
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Ron Schuyler and Rev. Eddie Bodford officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
