STONER, Margaret Louise, age 84, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Louise was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church.
Loving and caring, Louise was family-oriented and never wanted the attention drawn toward her needs. She loved crocheting and making afghans to give away to family and friends, each one a gift made with care. Always one to prefer a story that ended with love, she was a big fan of the Hallmark Channel. She also greatly enjoyed supporting her husband's love of antique engine and tractor shows by traveling to several shows each year. Together, they traveled to Pennsylvania, Indiana, and to several local shows each year. In addition, Louise always looked forward to the yearly trip to Canada, where their friends hosted a show on their property.
Louise collected Morton Salt collectibles, bells of all kinds, and orchid flowers, all of which she used to decorate her home. She was also known for her Christmas candy, which she made from scratch. Louise was the influence who first taught her granddaughter, Malinda, how to make chocolate and candy, a task Malinda now does with pride for Aglamesis Bro's Ice Cream & Chocolates in Cincinnati. More than anything, she will be remembered most for how proud she was of all her grandchildren.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Margaret Huffman. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry; two sons, Eric (Amy) Stoner and Kevin (Katie) Stoner; four grandchildren, Hannah, Malinda, Ethan, and Brayden; and her sister, Phyllis Williams.
The family will receive friends from 4 -6 PM on Tuesday, October 21, at the Monroe United Methodist Church. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 6 PM on Tuesday at the church, with Pastor Jeff Motter officiating. Stubbs-Connr Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
