Margaret M. "Margie" Welker

Margaret "Margie" M. Welker, age 73, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.
She was born on September 2, 1952, to Charles H. and Loraine M. (née Knost) Mitchell. Margie was a devoted mother to Daniel (Jennie) Johnson Jr., Stephanie Johnson, Amanda (Alfred) Ramirez, and Paul Welker Jr. She was a loving grandmother to Hanna Vaughn, Keisha Johnson, James Ramirez, Jacob Ramiez, Jeremiah Ramirez, and Josiah Ramirez, who brought her great joy.
Margie is survived by her siblings
Thomas Mitchell, Pauline Fiasco; Mary (David) Kappesser; Charles R. Mitchell, and Barbara Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her siblings Charles H. Mitchell Jr., Patricia Horton, Robert Mitchell, and Walter Mitchell.
She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many other friends in Ohio, Texas, and California.
Margie generously gave her time as a volunteer the Colerain Township Fire Department's Women's Auxiliary in the mid-1970s; Timber Lakes/Timber Ridge Fire Department's Auxiliary in the 1980s and 1990s; and at the Visitor Center in Oroville, California in the late 2000s, where she enjoyed welcoming others and serving her community.
A memorial service will be held at the Cincinnati Church of Christ, 4220 East Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236, on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2 pm with a repast/reception following.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association or the TriHealth Foundation.
Margie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
