Margarita Mage "Welita" Dutchover

1932 - 2025

Margarita "Mage" Dutchover known by many as "Welita" entered eternal rest on May 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, shortly after receiving the news that her little sister, Lucia Lopez, from Roswell, New Mexico had passed away. She spent 92 wonderful years sharing her faith with those around her.
She was born on July 20, 1932, in Big Spring, Texas to Jesus and Alejandra Lopez. She was the oldest of ten children. She married Robert "Sonny" Dutchover on May 28, 1949. She spent most of her time caring for her family. She was the matriarch of 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who strived to live a Christian life, reading the Gospel of the Lord and praying the rosary daily. She was an example of good work ethic to her family by maintaining employment at Malone & Hogan Clinic for many years before transferring to Scenic Mountain Medical Center where she retired after 35 years of service.
She leaves behind her daughters, Emma Anaya of Lubbock, Texas; Mary Helen (Pablo) Bustamante of Big Spring, Texas; Christena (Richard) Ruiz of Midland, Texas; and Cynthia Dutchover of Big Spring, Texas; her grandchildren, Melissa (Nick) Avila, Amber Aguilar, Vito Garcia, Jr., Brittany Ruiz, Jennifer (Joseph) Patton, and Stephanie Lopez; 22 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rosa Lopez of big Spring, Texas; Manuela Arista of Fort Worth, Texas; Catalina Padron of Coahoma, Texas; and one brother Henry (Patricia) Lopez of Fort Worth, Texas.
Margarita was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Dutchover, Sr., her son, Robert Dutchover, Jr., her grandsons, Chistopher Anaya and Paul Bustamante; her granddaughter, Tammi Dutchover; her great grandson, Jonathan Patton, her parents, Jesus and Alejandra Lopez, her brothers, Felipe Lopez, Thomas Lopez, Rafael Lopez and Armando Lopez; and her sister, Lucia Lopez.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Eternal rest grant unto Margarita, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. ~Amen~
