Margarito Marquez Huizar, beloved father, grandfather (Tata), and husband, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, surrounded by the family for whom he sacrificed everything.

Born in Rancho Cuculiten, Momax, Zacatecas, Mexico, he grew up with few guarantees but carried a powerful belief—that a better life could be built through hard work, faith, and determination. With courage and hope, he made the brave decision to immigrate to the United States, leaving behind everything familiar so his family could have opportunities he himself was never given. Though far from the ranch he loved so deeply, the memories and spirit of Rancho Cuculiten stayed with him always, giving him strength through every hardship and triumph.

In the United States, he chose Detroit, Michigan as the place to raise his family—a city whose resilience mirrored his own. Detroit became his second home, a place where his sacrifices took root and blossomed into new beginnings.

What he accomplished cannot be measured by wealth or status, but by the legacy he leaves: a family shaped by his strength, his sacrifice, and his belief that dreams are worth fighting for.

Margarito fought cancer, meeting each battle with the same strength, humility, and quiet determination that defined his life. Even in his hardest moments, he held onto love—for his family, for his roots, and for the life he built.

Margarito is survived by his wife of 50 years, Graciela Alvarez Marquez; his children: Lorena (Mario) Perez, Cesar Carlos (Gabriela) Marquez, Ricardo Margarito (Stephanie) Marquez, and Oscar Abraham (Yanai) Marquez; and his cherished grandchildren: Mario Enrique Perez Jr., Kate Perez, Daniel Perez, Carlos Eduardo Marquez, Emily Marquez, Eric Michael Marquez, Eva Graciela Marquez, Oscar Abraham Marquez Jr., Isla Rose Marquez, and Leo Isaac Marquez.

Though he has left this world, the path he forged continues. May he rest in peace, knowing the life he built was meaningful, honorable, and filled with purpose. His journey was not easy, but it was heroic. From Rancho Cuculiten to Detroit, the love and sacrifices he carried will lift generations to come.

A private burial will be held in Momax, Zacatecas—returning him to the land he loved, where his journey first began.

Margarito Márquez Huízar, querido padre, abuelo (Tata) y esposo, falleció pacíficamente el 30 de noviembre de 2025, rodeado de la familia por la que sacrificó todo.

Nacido en Rancho Cuculitén, Momax, Zacatecas, México, creció con pocas garantías, pero con una convicción profunda: que una vida mejor podía construirse con trabajo duro, fe y determinación. Con valor y esperanza, tomó la valiente decisión de emigrar a los Estados Unidos, dejando atrás todo lo familiar para que su familia tuviera oportunidades que a él nunca le fueron dadas. Aunque lejos del rancho que tanto amó, los recuerdos y el espíritu de Rancho Cuculitén lo acompañaron siempre, dándole fuerza en cada dificultad y en cada triunfo.

En Estados Unidos eligió Detroit, Michigan, como el lugar para criar a su familia, una ciudad cuya resiliencia reflejaba la suya propia. Detroit se convirtió en su segundo hogar, un lugar donde sus sacrificios echaron raíces y florecieron en nuevos comienzos.

Sus logros no se miden en riquezas ni en estatus, sino en el legado que deja: una familia formada por su fortaleza, su sacrificio y su creencia inquebrantable de que los sueños valen la pena.

Margarito luchó contra el cáncer, enfrentando cada batalla con la misma fuerza, humildad y silenciosa determinación que definieron su vida. Incluso en sus momentos más difíciles, se aferró al amor: por su familia, por sus raíces y por la vida que construyó con tanto esfuerzo.

Le sobreviven su esposa de 50 años, Graciela Álvarez Márquez; sus hijos: Lorena (Mario) Pérez, César Carlos (Gabriela) Márquez, Ricardo Margarito (Stephanie) Márquez y Óscar Abraham (Yanai) Márquez; y sus nietos queridos: Mario Enrique Pérez Jr., Kate Pérez, Daniel Pérez, Carlos Eduardo Márquez, Emily Márquez, Eric Michael Márquez, Eva Graciela Márquez, Óscar Abraham Márquez Jr., Isla Rose Márquez y Leo Isaac Márquez.

Aunque ya no está en este mundo, el camino que trazó continúa. Que descanse en paz, sabiendo que la vida que construyó fue significativa, honorable y llena de propósito. Su jornada no fue fácil, pero fue heroica. Desde Rancho Cuculitén hasta Detroit, el amor y los sacrificios que llevó consigo seguirán elevando a las generaciones venideras.

El sepelio privado se llevará a cabo en Momax, Zacatecas, regresándolo a la tierra que amó y donde su historia comenzó.
