Margery Kaefer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis Funeral Home on Dec. 17, 2025.
Margery Ann Kaefer, 83, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025 in hospice, surrounded by care and compassion.

She was born in Ashby, MA, on October 6, 1942, daughter of the late Floyd Amadon and Margery (Doll) Amadon. Margery was a graduate of Elm Street High School in Nashua.

She spent many years running an in-home daycare, Happy Days, with her daughter Debbie, where she helped to enrich the childhoods of the many children who were lucky enough to attend. She was, and still is, deeply loved by the children and families she cared for. She went above and beyond for every child, creating a safe, nurturing space filled with kindness, enrichment, nourishing meals, and lots and lots of fun-leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining for those she loved. As well as taking long walks, hiking, reading, sewing, and keeping a clean, warm, and welcoming home. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends who were the center of her world.

She leaves behind her children Tammy Riney, Cynthia Kaefer, Debbie Waters, Dawna Wisnowski, and Kenneth Kaefer. She is also survived by her sister Beth Tomolonis, along with 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

Margery will be remembered for; her tenacious spirit that overcame many of life's hardships, her open-mindedness, her compassion and generosity to those less fortunate, her impressive cooking and baking skills, and her strong-willed personality.

SERVICES: A private service will be announced on Facebook at a later date by the family.
