Margery Stull Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care - Robinson Township on Aug. 9, 2024.
Margery E. Stull, 1941-2024
Margery loved to laugh. Even through her struggle with Alzheimer's, she was blessed to still have an infectious laugh and a sense of humor that she shared with anyone spending time with her. After a long struggle with this disease, Margery Elizabeth Dobson Hoover passed away in Pittsburgh, Pa on August 7, 2024.
Margery was born in Sioux City IA to E. Barbara and Mark Dobson. After the untimely death of her father, her sister, Merry, and their mother settled in Pittsburgh with her stepfather, Richard Hoover, and his family. Life was full of ballet, theater, and treasured time at Aspinwall High School with friends. High school led to college at Penn State where Margery met the love of her life, Charlie Stull. Margery and Charlie were married in 1963.
Margery worked many years as a secretary at Mt Lebanon High School and was proud to serve as President of their Secretary's Union. A long time Presbyterian, Margery enjoyed classic hymns at Southminster Church and singing with the choir at Providence Point. She was an avid cook, talented with needlework and loved writing. Margery was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Margery was preceded in death by her stepbrothers Richard and Michael Hoover. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Stull; her sister, Meredith Dobson; her stepsister, Cooper Raphael; her children Susan Mattingly and Michael Stull; their spouses, Ray Mattingly and Kristyn Harrell, and 5 grandchildren, George, Raymond, Henry, Ben, and Julia. All will miss her sense of humor, warm hugs, and tasty cookies.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Providence Point Employee's Appreciation Fund would be appreciated.
