Margherita Grant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Suburban Funeral Home - Charleston on Dec. 15, 2025.
She passed with grace still lingering in the room, a woman so fine, her love continues to bloom. Kind in her spirit, gentle in her way, she poured out love without counting the day. Her smile could lift the heaviest load, her words gave strength to tired souls on the road. She clapped for others before herself ever stood, believed in our dreams before we knew we could. A cheerleader in life, in faith, in love, always pointing us higher, closer above. She celebrated victories both great and small, and stood even taller when we felt we would fall.

On Friday December 12, 2025; God in His infinite wisdom, called His daughter, Margherita Grant, 72, of North Charleston, South Carolina from labor to reward. She was the wife of the late Wesley Grant.

Celebration of life Service for Mrs. Grant will be on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11 AM, Wesley United Methodist Church.

There will be viewing on Sunday December 21, 2025 from 6-8 PM at Suburban Funeral Home Chapel.

The most precious memories of Margherita Grant will resound in the life of her beloved children; Tijuana Murray, April McKnight, Candace McKnight, and Leslie Richardson, six grandchildren, sibling; one brother Ronald (Jacquelyn) McKnight and a host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

On behalf of this bereaved family, we humbly solicit all prayers of consolation and comfort as they transition through this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I had the privilege of knowing Margherita through our time working together at Arcadia Publishing. She was so kind, dedicated, helpful, and always open to learning new things. She was a proud mother and grandmother, and loved sharing news about her children and grands. I know she enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach and watching the waves roll in. I know she'll be missed dearly, and my sincere sympathies to your family. -Leigh Scott

My name is Theresa, my family lived next door to her on 296 Coming Street. My deepest sympathy goes to the family. Margarita was also a Burke High School Graduate. A majorette in the band.
She was always smiling. Rest on my dear Sister. God Bless the Family.

My Deepest Condolences to the Family of My childhood Friend, Margherita, in her Transitioning. This picture was taken the last time we saw each other, Our 50th´ Class Reunion. I will always remember her being beautiful inside and out, while having a sweet cheerful personality. She will surely be missed.
